Blackhawk
Association Business Questionnaire
If you're a BlackHawk, active member or not please fill out this questionnaire.
We Need Your Input!

This qestionnaire was created because we are concerned about the viability of the Blackhawk Association. The signs that the Association is in trouble are:
1. Elections and other business not conducted within the direction in the Constitution and Bylaws. Meetings not documented, and officer jobs not performed:
  a. Example: 2002 election of 3 Members at Large to the Executive Council, constitution calls for 2.
  b. Election of new President in 2003 when previous election was for 2 years. While our documents are silent on a vacancy, it would be reasonable to assume the Vice would assume the duties.
  c. There is no documentation on formal meetings.
  d.

Persons accepting a position and then not performing the duties

2. The Constitution and Bylaws themselves are in sad shape:
  a. Duties of Officers not specified
  b. Conduct of business not discussed
  c. Etc, etc, etc
3. Communications are poor to nonexistent:
  a. We think this is very important. Communication will prevent some of the misunderstandings as in the past from becoming a big divisor.
  b. Newsletter has not been effective in content or frequency. The Newsletter should be consistent and in the same format each time.
  c. There is a WEB site adopted in 2001, but rivalry has split off other sites to everyone’s disadvantage.
4. Participation is low:
  a. Reunion attendance is low, probably because of lack of focus.
  b. Need to involve everyone, only way is US Mail. (Newsletter or Personal)
  c. Involvement implies there are activities to engage in, we need more purpose than social events.
  d. The participation will increase with more focused purpose, improved communication, and a regular newsletter.
That’s our thoughts. We would like yours. For your convenience we have included buttons below for viewing the constitution and bylaws. Please complete the questionnaire below. Thank you for your participation!
