First, I would just like to thank all of you, for all of your efforts in helping me learn more about my Uncle Dale, Henry, to all of you outstanding men.
This has been a very emotional time for me, so I can only imagine what it has been for all of you. I have spent days crying tears of joy knowing that my Uncle was not alone. I am overcome with emotion knowing all of you cared enough to help my family find peace. I know it must bring painful memories back to the surface, and for that I am so sorry... But thankful that so many of you have been so willing to help keep Henry's memory alive.
I have been in contact with Philip Sharp's son, Phil, and he too, is searching for those who served with his father. He has been so kind to me... And has even found a picture of my uncle, for which I will forever be grateful. I would love to pass on some of this information to him, so that he too can learn more about his fallen hero.
Again, my gratitude to all of you who have been so willing to help me in my search. I can not wait for the opportunity to meet you, hug you, and shake your hands. Thank you, for bringing my uncle home with you... in your hearts, and your memories. You all mean the world to me, and my family.
Much love to all of you! Chrissy

Hello Christina. I was piloting the wing scout OH6 the day Henry and Cpt. Philip Sharp were shot down. Needless to say, that was a very traumatic day for me, and of course our entire troop. I knew Henry well, and for sure all the scout pilots and our observers were super tight...bonds were forged that never can be broken, we went out every day knowing we were going to be shot at, so you can imagine how close we all became. We flew together many times and Henry was, indeed, one of our very best. I think of him and Cpt Sharp often with great fondness and camaraderie...

Thank you, for your service. I did not serve, however, I lost my Uncle, Henry D. Adkins, on May 23, 1971. He was twenty years old. I am hoping, and praying, that one of you may have known my uncle... or served with him. He has five brothers, and one sister, surviving. Nieces and nephews too numerous to count. I want to reach out... and bring his memory alive... I want something tangible to remember him by. My daughters are now 10 and 8... and I want them to remember. I need them to. If you knew Henry "Dale" Adkins... PLEASE, contact me. He would have gone by Dale...
Again, I thank you... for ALL of your sacrifices... and know, from the bottom of my heart, my family LOVES each of you.
